Description Of Work WMSI Performed: In 1996, Infinet was a growing Ohio based Internet Service Provider. They did not offer a complimentary web hosting program to go along with their dial-up internet connection accounts. WMSI was contracted to develop the complete program including the marketing promotional program along with handling the sales of the new web hosting services.
WMSI successfully developed the website, the marketing materials and designed the web hosting account programs.
WMSI was also instrumental in developing the backend software systems to be delivered as part of the web hosting solution to their customers. WMSI developed a free web hosting account system that allowed people to build their web sites with a simple fill in the blank online form. This system was one of the earliest build-your-own-website systems on the internet. Thousands of people were using the system at the height of its deployment. SureSite Web Hosting has now been folded into the new company owners hosting offerings as many of the ISP's of the late 1990's were bought out and consolidated. Suresite is now a part of CoreComm.
Summary: WMSI took the initiative and developed a successful new division of business for a technology company. WMSI handled all facets of the business including developing the business plan and carrying it out. The company experienced profits and growth above expectations.
